Self Evaluation
For this final project, I put in a lot of time and effort. I originally was going to do a montage of videos that I had taken throughout the semester of the friends I had made at TCNJ. However, after Hurricane Sandy hit and severely damaged the area by hometown I decided to change my idea. During Thanksgiving Break when I was home, I drove around with my friends and family taking different video of the damage done to the places I used to spend my time all throughout my life. It really made me think of how lucky I was to still have a home and I wanted to create this video to educate others on the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
After I had taken all of the video, I started my first edit with Final Cut Pro X. A few weeks later I decided to back up the file to an external hard drive and when I tried to recover the file I found out that it was not going to be able to be recovered. I then decided to redo my final in iMovie. This time I changed the song. I edited the video in a way that enabled it to flow with the song and I changed some settings with levels, brightness, contrast and saturation. Overall, I think that the second final I created came out much better than the first one and I am extremely pleased with how it came out.
