Assignment One

Self Portrait Sketch: This drawing represents a self portrait of myself. I drew myself from behind and had my face reflecting in the mirror along with what is behind me. The top right hand corner shows two shelves that house items that represent my life and what I am interested in.

Idea Sketch: This drawing is of an iPhone which consists of many little ideas creating one huge idea, the actual phone.  Each app is its own little world that blossomed from the idea of an individual. 

Environment Sketch: This drawing shows my desk in my dorm room along with my macbook wearing its blue case, a pink lamp, and a small chest of drawers which contain school supplies. This is the environment in my dorm room in which I complete my school work. 

Photographic Idea Example: The represents the idea of an afterlife and heaven. The photo shows six panels of stained glass that were in the cloisters in New York City. The cloisters is a holy place in which the christian religion is the main focus.

Photographic Idea Example: This is a photograph of a firework, however it is used here to depict the idea of hell and how it is often thought of with fire and warm colors.

Photographic Environment Example: This is a photograph of the underground environment of a cave in Virginia.

Photographic Environment Example: This photograph is of the cherry blossom trees and Washington monument in Washington, D.C.

Photographic Self Portrait Example: This self portrait of myself shows a recent chapter in my life. This past June I was hired as a United States National Park Ranger and this photograph shows me wearing my uniform that I was required to wear to work daily.

Photographic Self Portrait Example: This recent photograph of myself shows me with the new friends I recently made in college. We all showed school spirit at the first football of the season.

Photographic Environment Example: This photograph shows the hall of the floor I live on at college. The murals on the wall were all painted by past inhabitants of the floor and the current ones and myself hope to create a great one this  year.

Photographic Self Portrait Example: This photograph shows the wall of my dorm room covered with photographs, magazine ads, post cards, and my favorite poster of the Kiss on V.J. Day. This is a self portrait because it represents my interests and passions.

Photographic Idea Example: This photograph represents an idea because it shows how my friend thought of the idea to remove the back of his iPhone and replace it with one that was clear and allowed to user to see inside.

Photographic Environment Example: This photograph shows the environment of the Cherry Blossom area in the Washington D.C. during the peak of blooming.

Photographic Idea Example: This photograph represents the idea of patriotism and loyalty to one's country and fellow soldier. This tomb belongs to the unknown soldier.
